Project Based Learning (PBL)
TBL?? CLIL?
I'll introduce you another...
PBL
Today, I woke up early in the morning to participate in my online courses, and in the one called Connecting Classrooms I saw this video. I immediately remembered what Silvia told Ceci and I after the parents' meetings.
What we used to do at school was unit of work since students usually worked on simple tasks that required short-term content memory and low-level mental processes. Individual students worked on their own, or in pairs, and sometimes made presentations of their work to their peers.
Helping hands and Green Helping Hands are real life projects which demand students to participate actively, feel involved, solve problems and take desicions as a community and for the community. They are active citizens who act like adults, having voice and choice in their activities to live in a
better world they help create themselves.
Besides, they learn the language and they learn about new topics, using critical thinking and reflection all along.
